Trick 17: What lavender can do

Lavender has its origins in the French Maritime Alps and Provence. It grows throughout the Mediterranean region, but is also increasingly being planted in this country. No wonder: it provides a beautiful splash of color in the flower bed and exudes a fresh fragrance. Lavender also looks good in the home. Would you have known what this lilac-colored plant is suitable for?

Pest control: Lavender keeps dust mites away and repels ants. Lice and mosquitoes also avoid the intense scent.

Scented cushion: Put dried lavender flowers in a small cotton bag and place in the closet. This leaves the laundry smelling fresh and keeps moths away. If the bag loses its fragrance, simply knead it vigorously. Add new flowers after a few months.
