Tip 1: Labels
So that we, and our partner, can enjoy our beautiful lingerie for longer, we should be particularly careful when washing and storing it. That's why you should always follow the care instructions on labels carefully. Above all, never exceed the specified washing temperature, otherwise the laundry will quickly shrink or shrink depending on the material.
Tip 2: Color protection
Soak colored lingerie in a bath with a splash of vinegar before washing. Vinegar has a color-fixing effect and also ensures even more hygiene. Then rinse the lingerie thoroughly and put it in the machine.
Tip 3: Detergent
It is best to use mild detergent as it cleans the lingerie particularly gently. Unlike a powder detergent, it also leaves less residue on the textiles, which could cause skin irritation. To protect the lingerie from abrasion, always wash it in a laundry bag or pillowcase.
Tip 4: Fabric softener
It is better not to use fabric softener for fine underwear: Although fabric softener makes textiles smell nice, it softens the delicate fibers too much. Unfortunately, this causes them to lose their shape quickly.
Tip 5: Drying
The extreme heat in the tumble dryer accelerates the wear of lingerie. It is better to dry them in the fresh air and avoid direct sunlight.
Tip 6: Storage
Do you have wooden drawers? Then line the bottom with fabric or tissue paper to prevent wood splinters from damaging the material. Fold the laundry carefully, close the bra hooks and do not crease the cups.
Tip 7: Underwired bras
Always wash by hand. Otherwise the underwires can become deformed or damage the washing machine!
