Good training clothing is a blessing when doing sport. Proper care is essential so that you can enjoy them for a long time.

Of course, we should wash our sportswear if we have sweated during training. But a quick hand wash with a little shampoo or shower gel is enough. After wearing it four times, however, it should go in the wash.

Washing sportswear

Liquid detergent is gentlest on the fabric of functional underwear. Follow the care label, wash separately from cotton clothing or similar and not too hot. Select a low spin cycle. Turn inside out and close zippers and Velcro fasteners on clothing before washing. This protects the material from abrasion and ensures that nothing gets tangled up in the drum. Fabric softener is taboo because it clogs the fabric structure.

Disinfect shoes

Clean scented shoes at 30 degrees in a protective bag on a gentle wash cycle so that they no longer smell. or put them in a plastic bag in the freezer overnight: kills germs.

Caring for underwear

It is best to soak the sports bra in the sink or in a bowl in lukewarm water with a little mild shampoo immediately after training. After wearing it about four times, put it in the washing machine in a laundry net.

Special materials

Fleece items that keep us warm during outdoor training should be washed at a maximum of 30 degrees and only spin-dried briefly. Do not iron them, otherwise they will lose their cozy character. And the following applies to all sportswear: do not tumble dry as this damages the material.
