We would like to have an aquarium, but we want it to be as easy to look after as possible. Is it true that goldfish in particular are easy to keep?

Idea for me:
Yes and no. Although goldfish are easier to keep than other fish species, they also need an aquarium with an edge length of at least 80 cm. Plants and hiding places for the underwater inhabitants are of course also important. It is best to seek detailed advice on this from a specialist store. Good to know: You can use normal tap water for goldfish throughout Germany. With the recommended stocking density (3 liters of water per cm of fish) as a rough guide, a 50% water change every two weeks is ideal.
