When it comes to decorating Easter eggs, there are no limits to creativity. Anyone who has only ever dyed eggs with natural dyes or similar will be amazed by these new possibilities. Because now comes Easter decoration crafting 2.0.
These Easter decorating ideas no longer involve dabbling with various bowls of colorful paint, but elegantly labeling, sticking and even glittering. We show you some great inspiration here. You can see how to implement the great ideas and decorate the Easter eggs in the DIY video at the end of the article.
Decorating Easter eggs with washi tape
"Are you still coloring or are you already taping?" could be the slogan for this quick and creative Easter egg decoration idea. Washi or masking tape can not only create eye-catchers on our walls, but can also be used to decorate Easter eggs. You will need eggs and washi tape in different colors and patterns. The egg can be decorated however you like. Whether plain, colorful or patterned, lengthwise, crosswise or diagonally is entirely up to you.
Easter eggs painted with permanent marker
Visual statements, i.e. printed sayings and quotes, are no longer just to be seen on posters and T-shirts. The trend is towards typography and hand lettering. And this can also be easily implemented when decorating Easter eggs.
All you need is a black permanent marker and a few eggs (white and brown). Depending on whether you want to use the painted Easter eggs as decoration for hanging or as an edible eye-catcher on the breakfast table, they can either be blown out or hard-boiled before writing on them. Then simply use the marker to draw funny sayings and quotes or rephrased song titles with "egg" on them. Dots, stripes or other patterns are also super easy to apply.
In seventh confetti heaven
If you prefer sticking on dots rather than painting them on, you can decorate the Easter eggs with confetti. Simply use a hole punch to punch out confetti from different colors of construction paper. Attach the paper dots to the egg with a glue stick and the colorful confetti egg is ready with a good mood guarantee.
Marbling Easter eggs with acrylic paint
Even inexperienced people can decorate Easter eggs using this simple technique. Marbling Easter eggs can achieve great effects with little effort. All you need is acrylic paint in different colors and a shoe box. Put a dab of each color in the corners of the box. Place the egg inside and roll it back and forth by moving the box until it is well covered with paint on all sides. Leave to dry well.
Glittering Easter decorations
There's no such thing as too much glitter. And we also decorate our Easter eggs according to this motto. To do this, put loose glitter in a small bowl. Spray a blown-out or hard-boiled egg all over with spray glue and roll it in glitter. Alternatively, you can just dust one side with glitter.
