Do It Yourself: Painting walls - tips and tricks

Do you urgently need a new coat of paint? No problem, with an electric paint roller, painting work is really quick and easy.

What you need to paint the walls:

  • Masking tape
  • Paint
  • Electric paint roller
  • Paintbrush
  • Masking film
  • Stirring rod

Costs: Approx. 180 euros for 20 square meters.

Painting the walls Step 1: Masking the floor

Spread out the film and stick it to the sides with masking tape.

Painting the walls Step 2: Mix the paint thoroughly

After opening the bucket, stir the paint thoroughly again with the wooden stick.

First apply the paint to the corners with a brush. Work in sections.

Painting walls Step 4: Putting the paint roller into operation

Dip the hose of the device into the bucket. It sucks up the paint and feeds it into the roller.

Painting walls Step 5: Paint walls at lightning speed

The advantage of the electric roller: you don't have to set it down to reload the paint and it works in no time at all.
