Hand lettering: create your own design

Over the past few weeks, Hannah Rabenstein has introduced us to the beautiful art of hand lettering. Together with edding and DaWanda, she showed us the basics from the first stroke to the first designs on paper, glass, wood and even porcelain in her "little hand lettering school". Now it's time for your first own design.

There was already a lot to learn in the first six episodes: different letters and fonts were tried out and tested with different pens on a wide variety of materials. In the last episode of "The Little Handlettering School", Hannah now reveals her tips and tricks for her very first design.

Drafting the first hand lettering design

The first step is to choose a format and, of course, a background. Hannah tests her first designs on "scratch paper" before transferring them to her chosen material. You can find out what you need to look out for and how to achieve the best possible result for your first hand lettering design in episode 7.

Your efforts will be rewarded!

When you proudly hold your first creations in your hand, simply post them on Instagram with the hashtag #eddinglettering. edding and DaWanda are giving away a MyDays voucher worth 500 euros among all posts.
