Limescale deposits in the shower not only look unattractive, they can also mean that less water comes out of the shower head. They should therefore be removed every two to three weeks. Cleaning the shower head: You should never make this mistake
Although vinegar reliably eliminates limescale residue in the household, it should not be used for the shower head. Vinegar or vinegar-based cleaners could damage the shower head, as they attack its rubber seals. This will remove the limescale residue, but sooner or later your shower head will become unusable. So if you want it to last longer, you should use conventional limescale cleaners that are suitable for shower cubicles and bathroom fittings.

Citric acid removes limescale residue
A bath in citric acid also ensures that the shower head shines like new again. Pour a teaspoon of it into a bucket of water. Unscrew the shower head and leave it in the water bath for approx. 15 minutes. Then rinse under clear water and dry well.
