You only need 3 cleaning products to keep your home clean!

So many cleaning products are unnecessary

Because there is a cleaning product for everything and anything, we usually have far too many of them at home. What's more, it's easy to lose track of the large selection of products in the supermarket. Then there are the expensive specialty products that promise a life free of germs and bacteria. Even the NRW consumer advice center warns against antibacterial products in particular, as they are harmful to your own skin and are usually not easily biodegradable. In fact, you need very few of these advertised cleaners. Especially for the sake of your own health, the environment and your wallet. Cleaning the home: These three cleaners are perfectly adequate!

Cleaning your home: These three cleaners are enough

So what to clean with? With these three cleaners, our home will be spick and span - without a guilty conscience:

Cleaner 1. all-purpose or neutral cleaner
You can get most surfaces thoroughly clean with an all-purpose or neutral cleaner. A neutral cleaner and chamois leather or a squeegee are also sufficient for clean windows.tip:Vinegar will get your windows super clean and streak-free.

Cleaner 2: Scouring powder or milk
Scouring powder or milk can be used to remove stubborn dirt, such as burnt-on food on the stove. Use a sponge for this. But be careful with delicate surfaces, as they can quickly become scratched. It is therefore best to soak heavily soiled surfaces before cleaning.

Cleaner 3: Citric acid or vinegar
These two natural products can be found in almost every household anyway. They reliably remove limescale and urine scale. However, due to the acid content, care should be taken with seals - it is best to avoid them when cleaning.

Secret weapon: Cleaning professionals also always have baking soda at home for cleaning. This tried-and-tested household remedy can be used in a variety of ways, for example to keep pipes clean or to clean the toilet. It can also be used in combination with vinegar to remove limescale, urine scale or mold.

Extra tip: Because of the bacteria, you should regularly replace sponges and mops. You should also wash dishcloths weekly at 60 degrees.
