Do it yourself: Design your own forest wreath decoration idea

Spring is finally here and it's time to decorate the garden and patio. However, we can save ourselves a trip to the expensive florist, as forests and meadows as well as our own garden offer the best decorative possibilities, for example for a lush forest wreath. Master florist Klaus Wagener knows how to create one yourself in his Bloom's Naturwerkstatt.

What you need:

  • Straw stakes (from the garden store or DIY store)
  • Staples (long and short)
  • Various types of moss
  • twigs
  • Lightly mossed clay pots
  • Plants and flowers as desired and in season

This is how it works:

  1. Attach the moss to the straw bunting with a few staples.
  2. Decoratively pin small twigs to it.
  3. Pot up spring plants such as pansies, forget-me-nots and some green plants and place them in lightly mossed clay pots. Stuff with moss.
  4. Place the plant pots in the middle of the wreath and raise them with wooden boards as required.

The dreamlike decorative piece for the entrance, garden table and co. is ready!
