Floors should be regularly swept and cleaned of dirt.

Regular floor cleaning is important

A lot of dirt collects on the floor - this is completely natural, as crumbs, hair and dust flakes are constantly falling onto the floor. Of course, we don't want to carry the dirt from room to room or have it stick to our socks. But we also cause stains in the bathroom or kitchen, which should be swept up first and foremost. Regular and thorough cleaning of floors is therefore important for room hygiene.

Mopping the floor: here's how

1. put everything on high: Before you mop the floor, make sure you have a clear path, i.e. put up chairs, vases and anything else that might get in the way of your mopping. The work will then go much faster and you will clean more thoroughly.

2. vacuuming the floor: Vacuuming comes before mopping - this removes crumbs, dust and other loose dirt in the first cleaning process. This sequence is important, otherwise you will just be pushing the dirt back and forth.

3. mop the floor: To do this, use a conventional floor mop and water. You can use a universal cleaner or washing-up liquid. Special cleaners are recommended for real wood floors. Please refer to the respective product for the recommended quantity. Important: For wooden floors and laminate, make sure that you do not mop the floors too wet, otherwise they may swell.

4. wipe dry: Afterwards, wipe the floors with a dry mop cover or, if they have only been wiped slightly damp, simply leave them to dry.
