There is a rule of thumb for removing fresh blood, for example in the case of heavy menstrual bleeding: always use cold water! With warm water, the protein contained in the blood coagulates and forms a chemical bond with the fibers. You can then only dispose of the garment.

Soak the affected item of clothing in cold water for several hours. You can rub the affected area with baking soda or add an aspirin effervescent tablet - these household remedies have proven effective. For very stubborn stains, treat the item of laundry with curd or gall soap, rinse and then put in the washing machine.
