Repel spiders with lavender
Lavender has already proven successful against wasps and mosquitoes - and spiders don't like the ethereal scent of the plant at all. This is a perfect solution, as it keeps the nasty creepy-crawlies at bay from the outset. Killing them is really not an option, as the animals are simply far too useful for that.
How to combat flies in the home
Position lavender correctly
To really keep the spiders out, you should plant or place lavender in bushes if you have a garden, or in pots outside the window. If you don't mind the strong smell, you can also place a pot on the windowsill inside or hang up dried lavender - the herb also helps you sleep. But it's a matter of taste whether you want the scent in your own four walls. So spread lavender wherever the creepy-crawlies can get into the house and nothing will stand in the way of a spider-free home.
