Dishwasher

Is the dishwasher no longer cleaning properly? Then remove the spray arms and rinse with water, clear the spray openings with a needle. Citric acid helps against limescale.

Washing machine

If the water is no longer pumped out properly and therefore leaks when the machine is opened, clean the lint filter first. Sometimes the drain hose is also clogged with residue. In this case, pull out the plug, place a bucket underneath, unscrew the hose and rinse under the shower.

Printer

Are there streaks on paper and photo printouts? Then the nozzles are clogged. Start the automatic cleaning program to clean the print heads. If this does not help, remove the print heads and place them in distilled water.

Refrigerator

If it no longer keeps food properly fresh, it may be because the ventilation grille is dusty and can no longer work properly. Clean the grille with a bottle brush or vacuum. Also clean the door seal regularly: If it doesn't close properly, cold will quickly escape through it.

Tumble dryer

If the laundry comes out still damp, this is usually due to the moisture sensors, which the dryer uses to measure the residual moisture in the laundry. If they are calcified, they signal that the laundry is dry, even if it is not. To remove the limescale, wipe the drum thoroughly with a cloth soaked in vinegar.
