It's finally gardening time again! Mild temperatures and sunshine are tempting many hobby gardeners out into the garden. Now is the perfect time to plant many vegetables and flowers. We reveal 4 plants that you should sow and plant in May to ensure they thrive.
4 plants that we can sow in May
Cucumbers:
This plant is extremely sensitive to frost. May is therefore a good month for planting cucumbers. However, be sure to wait until after the Ice Saints. From mid-May, nothing will stand in the way of planting.
Kohlrabi:
Tasty kohlrabi is also best sown in May. It is very important to keep a distance of at least 30 by 30 centimetres between the individual plants so that they develop well. After about 5 months, we can harvest the kohlrabi!
Nasturtium:
Nasturtiums are a colorful eye-catcher in many gardens. We can either sow them directly in the bed or in pretty flower pots. Make sure there is enough space between the individual plants, 20 centimetres is ideal.
Marigolds:
Colorful marigolds are also beautiful to look at and add color to our garden. It is best to loosen the soil and remove weeds before planting.
