"If someone goes on a journey...",
then he should definitely have visited the wellness hotel "Kloster Marienhöh" in the Hunsrück.
As the winning couple of the test vacation at the four-star hotel in Langweiler (Rhineland-Palatinate), we can only recommend this hotel to everyone.
You can feel the feel-good factor as soon as you arrive. After a warm welcome, a very modern room equipped with all amenities awaits the guest. The bag with bathrobe, towel and slippers is already waiting. So off you go to the "Kleine Klostertherme" wellness temple, which has a beautiful 15-metre indoor pool, bio sauna, Finnish sauna, outdoor sauna, steam bath, Silence Rooms for relaxation and the Heilig-Geist-SPA with various treatments and massages. Guests looking for peace and quiet and something special are in the right place here!
Above all, you can enjoy the view directly into the high forest from all the rooms (brilliant). Drinks, fruit and fresh bath towels are also available at all times. You arrive here relatively quickly and can "slow down " very well or do the rest in the fitness room.
After so much "exertion", hunger is not long in coming. Our table in the "Refektorium" restaurant was reserved for 8 p.m. and our 3-course menu was absolutely delicious. The cuisine with Mediterranean influences makes you want more and the hunting-themed "Hubertus Lounge" invites you to linger in the evening with a glass of wine or a delicious cocktail.
Contrary to expectations, we slept very well (strange bed) and breakfast can be taken by 10.30 a.m. at the latest. You are also allocated a table in the morning and can then fortify yourself for the day ahead. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is served fresh and very appetizing.
After breakfast on day 2, we went for a long walk to explore the surrounding area. There are three golf courses just a few kilometers from the hotel. The hotel also has an outdoor tennis court, boules court and bowling alley. Mountain biking, Nordic walking and hiking can be started directly from the hotel. A 10-minute drive away, winter sports fun begins on the Hunsrück cross-country ski trail and two 800-metre-long slopes on the 818-metre-high Erbeskopf attract skiers.
Our conclusion
This hotel combines lifestyle, design and a historic monastery setting to create a very inviting and relaxed ambience. Sunny colors, antique furniture and unusual accessories positively round off the overall appearance. The organization and the always friendly staff speak for themselves. We should also mention the free parking lot in the immediate vicinity and the WLAN connection.
We felt very comfortable during these two days and would love to come back!
