Study by We-Vibe: Germans' sex fantasies

In February 2020, the Canadian company We-Vibe, a leading manufacturer of couples' vibrators, asked over 9,000 people worldwide about their sex fantasies and preferences. Among them were also German men and women who revealed what their sexual desires are.

Midlife crisis: men want to experiment

Things get really wild for German men in the midlife crisis: they want more unusual things and really want to try things out again. A full 61% of German men say they think about uninhibited group sex. By comparison, only 11% of 18 to 24-year-olds share this idea. Every second participant (48%) also dreams of a threesome. So it seems that the desire to experiment has now been awakened.

What women dream of during sex

Women also have their own ideas about what they want in bed. However, these seem to be less age-dependent and more dependent on the duration of the relationship. The study shows that women long for more adventure after 8 years in a relationship. For example, 35% of them want role-playing games in bed. In addition, 35% of the German women surveyed also fantasize about sex with a stranger.
