For today's Spouses' Day: How to keep your relationship happy

Tip 1: Writing love letters

How about an unusual surprise for today's Spouse's Day? When was the last time you wrote a love letter to your sweetheart? The really classic way, no Whatsapp, email or SMS! Put pen to paper and tell him what you appreciate about him, how much you love life in general and how happy he makes you. No time for a letter? A little post-it on the bathroom mirror or in his business documents will do.

Tip 2: Make time for everyday romance

In our stressful everyday lives, candlelit dinners are a rare occurrence, so a spouse's day is the perfect opportunity! Whether it's home-cooked or in an elegant restaurant, you can finally find time for each other again.

Tip 3: Talking is golden

Even if the saying goes the other way round, when it comes to relationships, talk is golden. Because only people who talk can be helped. Talk about problems and disagreements and don't just bottle up your resentment if there are relationship difficulties. Talk to your partner about what is bothering you, be open and honest - this is the only way to make your relationship last.

Tip 4: Think about yourself too

Only those who are at peace with themselves can love unconditionally. So always think about your own well-being. What makes you happy? Take time for yourself, cultivate friendships, interests and hobbies, even if they are not directly related to your partner. Only those who don't lose sight of themselves can meet their partner at eye level.
