What turns men off about women? Is it constant bitching, an unkempt appearance or too much perfume? We wanted to find out exactly and asked the readers of our ORION blog - "What actually makes WOMEN unsexy?". More than 470 readers took part and provided exciting insights.
So let's raise the curtain on the top 10 things that make women unsexy:
10th place: Saying yes, but meaning no - or vice versa
Ah yes, the eternal cliché! Women supposedly never say what they mean and around 46% of respondents find this unsexy. Sentences like "No, it's nothing." Or "Yes, do what you want" probably don't go down too well with men. Unless they really mean it. So what do we learn from this? Always speak our mind honestly! Let's see how the lords of creation get on with it ;-)
9th place: Bitching and blaspheming
We could almost have guessed that bitching and gossiping are not sexy. But now we know for sure: almost half of those surveyed find women who constantly talk badly about others and constantly bitch unattractive. No wonder!
8th place: Pretending to be a guy
The sex appeal of women is based on one thing above all: female sensuality! So it's no wonder that 51% of respondents find women who pretend to be men unsexy. So we should avoid crude remarks and a masculine demeanor if we want to get our chosen one in an erotic mood. Incidentally, there is another point that makes women unsexy: drunkenness! According to the participants, drunk women are extremely unattractive!
7th place: Excessive make-up and styling
Who would have thought it? Around half of the respondents find extremely styled and overly made-up women unsexy. So take it down a notch and go out a little more naturally.
6th place: Constantly nagging that you're too fat
"I'm too fat!", "Do I look fat in this dress?", "I really need to go on a diet!" - Sentences like these can be a real turn-off for men! And seriously, ladies: weight really isn't important! Because what's really sexy is this: Self-confidence!
5th place: Arrogance
Arrogant women come across as aloof and unappealing! This is also the opinion of the majority of men: 54% don't find arrogance in women sexy at all.
4th place: Being hairy or badly shaved
According to the survey participants, women should only wear hair on their heads. Overgrown hair or a bad shave are considered unattractive by 55%. So grab a razor if you have a date or an evening in a short dress coming up!
3rd place: Constantly talking about your ex
Constantly talking about your ex shows that you're still holding on to the past and aren't really ready for anything new. And that's not sexy at all!
2nd place: Expecting MAN to guess everything
Reading between the lines doesn't seem to suit the men of creation at all. That's why 58% of respondents find women who expect MEN to guess their thoughts and feelings terribly exhausting. So, just like in 10th place: be honest and open and say what you want!
1st place: Being unkempt
I'm not surprised that this point landed in first place by a huge margin! Because being unkempt is anything but sexy! Over 70% of respondents don't find an unkempt woman sexy at all! Understandable! After all, we women aren't attracted to a man who hasn't showered for days!
