Don't worry too much
Even at a fundamental level, men and women have completely different sexual styles. For women, sexual arousal usually takes place in the mind. They need certain images in their mind's eye in order to feel sexual pleasure. Compared to men, this is a relatively complicated matter. After all, it's no surprise that sexual desire in men is physically controlled. This is mainly due to hormonal and biochemical processes. Young men only need the slightest sexual stimulus to get a spontaneous erection. Even if men of an older age happen to see their wife coming out of the shower, a sexual impulse is triggered in them. The desire for sexuality is therefore not linked to certain thought patterns in men.
A deeper bond through sex
On a psychosexual level, men and women also have almost opposite dispositions. Women generally need emotional closeness before they can open up to their partner physically. For men, on the other hand, it's the other way around. They do not (usually) need an emotional bond with their sexual partners. It is only through sex that an emotional bond is formed and men become more emotionally vulnerable. That's why the sentence "He only wants sex" is usually incorrect. This is because it often conceals a desire for deeper acceptance of the partner. For them, sex is sometimes just the beginning of a deeper bond.
Adventurous
However, this does not mean that sex is exclusively for this purpose for men. You also have to consider the adventurous part. Men love adventure and sex is a pretty exciting thing. It is not only physically extremely pleasurable. The brain also releases masses of beneficial hormones when it comes to sex.
Nature is to blame
So the next time you're wondering if you have a lover you don't know in bed because he "ticks differently": It's not really his fault. The male body is designed that way by nature. And that's not necessarily wrong, because women and men actually complement each other quite well in bed!
