The moving service from E.ON makes moving stress-free

To make your move as smooth as possible, E.ON's relocation experts are on hand with help and advice. Free services such as a handover form for meter readings, a protocol for handing over the apartment and a checklist to download can be found at www.eon.de/umzug. In addition, all E.ON customers can register their move online here quickly and easily and take electricity and natural gas with them anywhere in Germany.

Moving checklist from a professional:

  1. Notify your energy supplier of the move before the moving date - the final meter reading can be submitted online at a later date
  2. Don't forget the handover protocol with the landlord: This also includes the meter readings for electricity and natural gas
  3. Counter-check: Has the family grown? Are you moving into a larger apartment? Then it's worth checking the electricity and natural gas tariffs when you move.
  4. Has everything been re-registered? Insurance, telephone, Internet, TV and radio connections? Don't forget to apply for redirection at the post office!
  5. Moving costs may be tax-deductible - so keep the bills.
