Fruit and vegetable seasonal calendar: What local produce can I get in June?

Whether fruit or vegetable salad: it's getting colorful

Berry fans get their money's worth from June onwards, as strawberries, raspberries, currants and gooseberries can be used to prepare a wonderfully berry fruit salad from regional areas. Cherries and nectarines are now also available. Sweet and juicy honeydew melons are also in season from June. The sweet taste goes wonderfully with hearty ham - a delicious summer dish that is particularly light.

Vegetables are also available regionally in June. Broccoli and cauliflower are now in season. Both types of cabbage are particularly easy to digest and are the perfect source of vitamin C and calcium.
