Everything shines: Simple agents such as citric acid effectively remove limescale deposits from fittings and household appliances.

Remove limescale stains with citric acid

Dilute citric acid with water (1:3). Turn off calcified shower heads and aerators (the strainers on taps) and place in the liquid for a good 45 minutes.

Acid-soaked cloths

Limescale stains around taps can be easily removed with acid-soaked kitchen cloths: apply and leave to work.

Descaling kitchen appliances

Pour diluted citric acid into the kettle and leave to work for 10 minutes. Important: The water must not be warmer than 40 degrees, the acid is not heat-resistant.

Use a special cleaner for coffee machines

Many coffee machines indicate when they need to be descaled. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions exactly and use special products from the drugstore.

Do not clean joints with acid

Grouting does not tolerate acid. It is therefore best to clean them with a soda cleaner: spray and scrub well.
