Pull out the wall plugs: If you can't get them out of the wall when remodeling or renovating, carefully twist a corkscrew in until it grips securely. Then pull it out.
Make drilling easier: If you want to drill hard materials, the drill bit often slips quickly at the beginning. This can be easily prevented by creating a small indentation with a screw-shaped corkscrew. Simply place the tip of the drill bit in this hole.
Loosen the knot: Carefully push the corkscrew tip between the strings and turn the corkscrew slightly back and forth so that there is a little space between the strings. Then pull the corkscrew out again and untie the knot.
