Thick new wool, on the other hand, ensures that garments such as sweaters are nice and soft against the skin. If you want something delicate and filigree, such as a tablecloth, a thin yarn is the first choice. But beware: stitches made from thin yarn are more difficult to knit and are therefore only suitable for beginners to a limited extent. Hairy wool such as angora or mohair is also not without its problems: it fluffs quickly and makes picking up stitches more difficult. It is therefore better to start with smooth cotton or alpaca.
