Fighting ants with barriers

Ants are very sensitive to odors. Strong-smelling herbs such as lavender, juniper or bracken disrupt their sense of orientation. Lemon peel, cinnamon and vinegar also drive them away. Coffee grounds can be used on lawns or in flower beds. This is also a good fertilizer.

Seal joints

If you find gaps or crevices on the walls of your house, you should seal them with silicone. Ants will then have no chance of finding a way in. Pack food in sealable containers!

You should not fight ants in this way

Some people recommend baking soda to combat ants. However, this kills the animals in agony. It expands inside them!
