Soft skin even in winter - special care is needed now

Chapped lips
They are particularly sensitive to the weather because the skin here has hardly any sebaceous glands. No wonder they immediately become chapped and cracked in the cold. That's why it's best to always have a lip balm in your handbag for immediate relief. These repair damaged skin quickly and protect it at the same time.

Sun protection even now
In frosty temperatures, the skin reacts particularly sensitively to all environmental stimuli, including UV rays. It is therefore essential to apply sun protection (at least SPF 15) at least on sunny days, especially when walking in the snow.

Cold make-up
Extreme temperature fluctuations between humid cold outside and dry heated air inside can be stressful for the skin and can have a very drying effect. The result: skin tightens and flakes. Instead of a foundation, use a BB cream instead, which regulates the skin's oil-moisture balance and at the same time visually evens out irregularities in the complexion such as redness.

Healed hands
Just like your lips, your hands also need constant care in winter. They react quickly to the cold with dryness. Gloves protect against this outside. Cream is also a must - after washing and in between.

Tender elbows
Dry body skin usually shows up first on the upper arms and elbows. It is best to lightly exfoliate these areas of the body once a week with a loofah glove. To prevent the elbows from becoming flaky, they should be regularly and generously moisturized with a cream containing lipids.

Change your facial care
The motto here is: change your cream in good time. In winter, this means oil in the morning and moisture in the evening. That's why it makes sense to reach for lipid-containing products right at the start of the cold days. They are the best helpers to keep the protective layer in tact or to rebuild it.

Cream coat for the body
SOS help for dry skin: apply a thick layer of body lotion containing fat and urea (binds moisture in the callus) to the body, especially the shins and knees, and put on long cotton socks overnight. The skin will be smooth and soft again in the morning.

Frost protection for the feet
Even though we hardly ever see our feet in the cold season, they need special care. The cold, thick socks and fur boots dry them out and make the horny layer on the heels and balls of the feet thicker. So always take good care of them.

Extra care for the eyes
This sensitive area also has hardly any sebaceous glands that could form a protective film. Special eye care should therefore replace it. A normal face cream is not ideal as it contains creeping fats that can penetrate the eyes.
