Authentic feasting on Mallorca: the locals' favorite restaurants

This is how the locals dine: When it comes to the best restaurants on Germany's favorite island, the Mallorcans have the real insider tips. Mallorca expert fincallorca, the largest finca agent on the island, asked the islanders for their personal recommendations. The company has now compiled some of them for gourmets:

ANOA in Santanyí:
In tranquil Santanyí, chef Frank Jöster delights guests at ANOA with tapas and artful main courses. The menu is highly seasonal and includes specialties such as corn-fed poulard breast larded with chorizo or beef liver with braised onions and apple. The fish soup with saffron, on the other hand, is a classic.

Santi Taura in Lloseta:
In the north, Santi Taura in L loseta scores highly with diners. The restaurant spoils gourmets with a weekly changing tasting menu for 37 euros. The restaurant has recently launched the "DINS Santi Taura" project: all dishes come from local producers and are prepared live by head chef Santi Taura.

Escorat in Cala Ratjada:
Escorat at the port of Cala Ratjada is especially something for fish lovers. In keeping with its location, the restaurant mainly serves specialties from the sea. The selection includes, for example, fillet of cod in almond sauce or sailor-style tuna. Grilled fish in every conceivable form is also a must on the menu.

Hostal Porto Colom in Porto Colom:
The Hostal Porto Colom in the town of the same name, Porto Colom, is also inspired by the sea. It also has a very exquisite restaurant, which is bright and flooded with light, with a view of the harbor. The cuisine is Mediterranean - but also characterized by international influences. In summer, the bar on the second floor offers delicious cocktails for a nightcap.

Sa Farinera in S'Horta:
A little further inland is the Sa Farinera in S'Horta. It impresses its guests with traditional Mallorcan cuisine and presents itself in the rustic style of a finca. The specialties include rabbit. Thanks to its large garden, guests can also sit outside and enjoy Mediterranean evenings.

El Olivo in Deià:
If you want to treat yourself, visit the elegant El Olivo restaurant. It is part of the Hotel La Residencia and is located in the north of the island. The menus on offer include a wide selection for vegetarians. The elegant ambience and the large terrace with a view of the Mediterranean surroundings provide a romantic setting - for a candlelight dinner for an anniversary, for example.

El Nautico in Palma:
In the island's capital Palma, locals often recommend El Nautico. This restaurant is considered an institution and is centrally located by the sea. Accordingly, the menu is characterized by fish and seafood. The interior is decorated entirely in white and blue tones to match the maritime surroundings.

Sa Roqueta in Palma:
Sa Roqueta in Palma also has a long tradition and is very well known. In addition to delicacies from the sea, it specializes in traditional rice dishes. Lentils and peas are also combined with fish and shellfish. The restaurant is also proud of its large selection of wines.
