Trick 17: What to do with stale bread?

Stale bread and rolls are far too good to throw away. You can grate dry baked goods into fine breadcrumbs or cook something delicious with them without too much effort.

What to do with stale bread?

1st idea: Casserole Tastes great as a main course or as a tasty side dish: Dice the bread and fry in oil with chopped garlic. Place in a casserole dish with tomatoes and olives, for example. Top with a little oil and cheese and bake for approx. 20 minutes.

2nd idea: Bread potato chips Cut the bread into very thin slices, place on a well-oiled baking tray and roast at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and herbs.

3rd idea: oven baked dessert For a sweet dessert, cut bread rolls into slices, layer with diced apple and raisins in a buttered dish. Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar and cinnamon and pour on top. Bake at 180 degrees for approx. 45 minutes.
