Avocado oil: so healthy and good for skin and hair

South Americans call the grass-green fruit the "butter of the forest". It is currently experiencing a real boom here. And rightly so, because avocados have the highest protein content of all fruits and contain lots of fiber and vital substances. They are rich in vitamins A, C, E, magnesium, potassium, vitamin B2 and B6. And: they consist of 70 percent unsaturated fatty acids, which protect the heart and regulate fat metabolism.

The oil tastes different to fresh avocado

Avocado oil, in which the valuable ingredients are concentrated, is relatively new in the kitchen. The mild, nutty flavor enhances vegetables and salads, is suitable for frying fish and meat due to its high smoke point and is even used in desserts. It is also ideal for anyone who doesn't like avocado on its own but still wants to enjoy its health benefits.

Like olive oil, avocado oil is one of the few oils that is extracted directly from the flesh of the fruit. It is cold-pressed. High-quality virgin avocado oil is slightly cloudy and yellowish green to deep green in color. Incidentally, it is also great for skin care. Stirred into masks or creams, normal avocado cooking oil makes dry skin beautifully supple again.
