Take a look at the trailer:
If we want to improve our quality of life, we work out with the hippest fitness equipment, have our personal trainer chase us through the city park, work on the best carbohydrate avoidance strategy, eat healthily, try to attend regular yoga classes and attach great importance to destinations far away from mass tourism. In short: we feel good because we live healthily.
Healthy living, building and living
But there is one thing we overlook: how healthy are we really living within our own four walls? What about our indoor climate, what materials have we used in our apartment or house - and didn't we recently buy a mattress that still smelled unpleasant after two weeks and made us feel uncomfortable when we went to bed? Perhaps we have overlooked something in our health-conscious lives. This also happened to Nicole Renneberg, who came across the topic of "healthy living, building and living" from one moment to the next as a result of personal situations in her life:
"I've been involved with a healthy lifestyle for a long time and have tried many things. My job means I have to keep fit and healthy. However, I underestimated how important it is to surround yourself with healthy building materials and furniture, even within your own four walls. On average, we spend more than 80% of our day indoors. But hardly anyone thinks about the effects that the indoor climate could have on our health. We attach importance to healthy products in our diet. But we often don't when it comes to the way we live. Many people are unaware of how good it feels to live in a healthy and natural indoor atmosphere with ecological furnishings. However, the way we build, live and work has a significant impact on the quality of our health and environment."
Unhealthy indoor climate as a trigger for exhaustion and insomnia
Hidden illness-causing products often "lie dormant" in apartments and houses and put a strain on the occupants. Allergic reactions, headaches, tiredness, infections - these can all be signs that our rooms contain substances that are not good for our bodies. It is therefore advisable to pay attention to the use of building products such as solvent-based paints, synthetic carpets, adhesives, laminate flooring, construction foams, furniture and everyday objects, as these all emit chemical substances that are detectable in the indoor air and surround us every day. They are often of greater significance than pollutants from the environment that we let into our homes when ventilating. We can determine whether we are living, dwelling and building healthily - and how healthy the products we allow into our homes really are - by measuring the indoor air. An unhealthy indoor climate may also be the cause of exhaustion and insomnia due to radiation and electromagnetic fields in the bedroom or workplace. Light is also a vital issue and much more than just a remedy for dark rooms: light influences mood, well-being and health.
Green lifestyle in Germany
That's why Nicole Renneberg and her team are starting the 21-day film project and only want to use products that are ecological, sustainable and environmentally friendly when fitting out the TV studio. Her camera team will accompany her and she will report on the project from 15 May 2017 on the new online health magazine www.gesundheitslounge.de and in other media in many films: "With this campaign, I want to raise people's awareness of healthy living, sleeping and working environments. I would like to develop the project into a campaign with many ecological partners, media and institutions to raise awareness of the topic of a green lifestyle in Germany. We are on the right track. The topic of healthy living is topical and very exciting. People are reacting very positively."
Nicole Renneberg and the Health Lounge have a strong partner at their side on this topic. Together with Baufritz, the eco-house pioneer and health specialist for sustainable, ecological and naturally healthy building, they want to provide valuable health tips, exciting tricks and instructions on this topic. They want to show that an ecologically responsible life not only makes you feel good, but can also be really fun: "In our new Greenstyle studio in Berlin, we will therefore be presenting interesting people and innovative companies who have put their heart and soul into developing fair products, ecological projects, exciting services and new food trends."
