Quick and easy: make your own baked apple recipe

Have you spontaneously invited guests to an Advent coffee party and don't have time to bake something elaborate? Not only can you make our apple cakes in an apple in no time at all, you also only need a few apples and nuts, cinnamon, sugar, maple syrup and shortcrust pastry.

Hmm, that's the smell of Christmas

And while the delicious Advent treat is baking in the oven, your guests will be greeted by the heavenly scent of Christmas. So the perfect pre-Christmas evening can begin.

We explain step by step how to make this new version of baked apples yourself:

  1. Cut off the top quarter of the apple. Then scoop out the apple with an ice cream scoop, for example, and place the contents (without the seeds) in a bowl.
  2. Add the sugar, cinnamon, walnuts and a little maple syrup and mix everything together.
  3. Fill the hollowed-out apples with the mixture.
  4. Cut the shortcrust pastry into narrow strips and place them in a lattice shape over the opening of the apple.
  5. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with a little sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Place in the oven at 200°C fan oven for about 30 minutes.
