Sweet, sweeter, roasted almonds
They are probably THE pre-Christmas classic par excellence, but are also great at the cold start of the year! Would you like to snack on roasted almonds outside of the pre-Christmas period or not go to the Christmas market? Then get into the kitchen, because roasted almonds are wonderfully easy to make at home. You don't need more than five ingredients - and homemade always tastes better than professional!
Make roasted almonds yourself: You need these ingredients
200 grams of almonds
50 grams of brown sugar
150 grams of white sugar
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
1 pinch of cinnamon
Preparation of roasted almonds
Place 50 g of brown sugar, 150 g of white sugar and a sachet of vanilla sugar in a non-stick pan. Add 100 ml water and a pinch of cinnamon and bring to the boil briefly while stirring. Now add the almonds to the sugar mixture, stir and continue to cook over a medium heat until the sugar begins to melt. Stir occasionally. When the mixture is firm, remove from the heat and leave the almonds to cool on baking paper.
