The wafer-thin and tender wholemeal sticks are versatile in taste and appearance and can be made quickly and easily in advance. Add a variety of dips to round off any party. Sweet variations with sugar and grated coconut or sugar and nuts are also delicious. Before each topping, the pastry sheets should be lightly sprayed or brushed with water.
As the dough is rolled out thinly, leavening agents such as yeast or baking powder are superfluous. When baking, make sure that the oven temperature is not too high, otherwise the sticks can easily burn. However, it is important to roll them out evenly so that they have a nice brown color throughout.
The sticks will keep for about four weeks if well wrapped.
As always, I'll give you the recipe at the end of the video.
Have fun baking and enjoying.
