No woman wants wrinkles or puffiness around her eyes. With the right care and eye make-up to suit your type, you can make a difference and achieve great results.

The right care

For wrinkles

The skin around the sensitive eye area is up to ten times thinner than the rest of the face. In addition, there is little subcutaneous fat and active facial expressions with up to 10,000 eyelid movements a day. No wonder that this is where skin ageing first makes itself felt and wrinkles around the eyes become visible. Good eye creams with active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, retinol, soy extract or valuable plant oils effectively counteract this.

Against puffiness

The slowdown in microcirculation with age leads to poorer drainage. Too high a temperature in the bedroom (18 degrees is ideal) and a pillow that is too high can also be the cause. Products with a metal roll-on applicator simply massage the puffiness away. Lightly pigmented formulas catch the light and make the eye area glow again.

For dark circles

What causes those annoying dark circles? Sleeping less than seven to eight hours a night can be a trigger, as can allergies that dilate the blood vessels around the eyes, which quickly looks like dark circles. Hyperpigmentation in this region can be genetic or caused by UV radiation. However, there are helpful remedies for dark circles under the eyes. For example, creams with vitamin C can help by lightening them. Good concealers cover effectively.

The four types: How to apply make-up to our eyes correctly

The spring type

Has light blonde to slightly reddish hair. The skin is soft and fine-pored, the complexion peach-pink, ivory or golden beige. The eyes are light blue, green or amber-brown. If you are the spring type, you can really make up and emphasize your eyes by using warm eyeshadow shades and gold nuances to bring out the eyes perfectly.

The summer type

Light skin has a cool, pink or slightly yellowish undertone. The eyes are bright blue or green, the hair color ranges from ash blonde to hazelnut brown. Eye make-up with light beige or rose tones looks enchanting. For a more intense look, the colors are blended with cool violet.

The fall type

This type has a pale or bronze complexion and often has reddish freckles. All shades of red can be found in the hair color, as well as medium blonde and dark brown. The eyes are various shades of green and brown. They really shine with a soft, dark bottle green.

The winter type

These women can be recognized by the intense colors of their eyes: green, bright blue or dark brown. The complexion can be olive or porcelain white, framed by dark brown or black hair. Eye shadows with a blue or red cast are ideal for this type and create a sophisticated look.
