Prevent back problems with the right office chair

The majority of people who work sitting down complain of back pain. The reasons for this are the one-sided strain on the muscles and a workstation that is not set up optimally. We remind you how to do it right. With these three easy-to-implement tips, you can effectively prevent back pain.

Actively prevent back problems

The office chair

... is at the right height when the bent knees form a right angle while the feet are on the floor. The elbows should also form a right angle when resting on the desk or armrests.
Tip: Ask your employer for a suitable chair.

The screen

... is best positioned so that your eyes are about 50 - 80 cm (see picture) away from the top edge of the monitor. Tip: If you have to look down too much (bad for your neck!) and the monitor is not height-adjustable, ask for an elevation or place it on old books!

The keyboard

... should be placed about 10 cm from the edge of the desk. More importantly, however, you should get up at least once an hour, for example to make a phone call while standing, and do some light stretching exercises.
