
Make your own salad dressing
Why not simply make your own salad dressing. That way you know exactly what's in it and can avoid unnecessary calories. Your salad will stay healthy and still taste delicious, light and fresh. Our top favorites for low-calorie dressings:
Light vinaigrette
- Heat 175 ml of freshly squeezed orange juice in a pan and reduce to about 1/3.
- Add 1 tablespoon of grainy Dijon mustard and 2 tablespoons of white balsamic vinegar and stir in with a whisk. Season with salt and pepper.
- Gradually whisk in 75 ml olive oil. Leave to cool and you're done!
Yoghurt dressing
- Place 100 grams of low-fat yogurt in a bowl and stir in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
- Add mixed herbs (e.g. frozen or fresh) and a small dash of cream and stir the mixture well.
- Season the dressing to taste with salt and pepper and pour over the salad.
Buttermilk dressing
- Mix 1 tablespoon of low-fat mayonnaise with 400 ml of buttermilk. Add a little sweetener and a tablespoon of lemon juice.
- Season with salt, pepper and a little chili powder and stir in a few chopped chives. The light and fresh dressing is ready.
