Cook once, eat twice
If you cook in the evening, prepare the portion for the next lunch at the same time. Thanks to the short cooking times of poultry and the uncomplicated preparation, there is no extra work involved.
Provide variety
If you are already cooking for the whole week on Sunday, you should choose different preparation methods for the different cuts. Whether roasted, steamed, boiled, braised or baked - poultry such as chicken & co. offers a variety of enjoyment for the whole week. So lunch to go never gets boring.
Make sure the side dishes are of reheated quality
While chicken & co. retain their typical taste even after four to five days when reheated, side dishes should be chosen so that they do not become bitter and watery or lose their taste over the course of the week. Watery vegetables such as zucchinis, for example, should not be kept for longer than two days. Potatoes or rice, on the other hand, will keep for the whole week.
Modular principle
If you find it too time-consuming to cook for the whole week on Sundays, prepare only the main components, i.e. the meat, in different variations and buy some fresh ingredients during the week. A salad, for example, can be prepared quickly at the office and, thanks to chicken & co., becomes a healthy and filling lunch to go.
