Today's celebrity women don't want to look skinny, but above all healthy, and they follow a simple rule: acidity makes you ill, alkalinity makes you slim.

Alkaline or simply A-Line is the name of the latest favorite diet of stars such as Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow. It is based on a diet of alkaline foods. The reason: over-acidification slows down the metabolism and is unhealthy in the long term.

More energy through alkaline

When the acid-alkaline balance is in order, all organs can function properly. The metabolism utilizes nutrients ideally and obesity is not an issue. You feel balanced and vital. The problem is that our society's eating habits with lots of meat, milk and sugar have the opposite effect. Acids form as waste products after utilization. This leads to an excess that blocks weight loss. That's why it makes sense to evaluate food not only according to its calorie content - as is the case with Alkaline!

Alkaline fasting

The alkaline diet requires a short-term, comprehensive change in diet. The effect is all the more lasting. Support your body three times a year with an alkaline fast, in which at least 70 percent of the ingredients in a meal are alkaline. Try a 4-day diet, for example. The first 6 to 8 pounds will drop immediately. If necessary, you can extend the cure to 2 weeks. Alkaline can also be the start of a long-term diet, because once deacidified, losing weight is much easier.

Your diet plan with Alkaline

Dairy products, jam and sausage are not a good idea in the morning, as these classic breakfast ingredients are acidifiers. We recommend wholemeal bread rolls with butter and honey or muesli with fruit and soy yogurt. Delicious! To wake you up, green tea replaces coffee at Alkaline. And vegetable sticks or a quick alkaline broth will help with the small hunger pangs in between. Let's go!

These foods have an alkalizing effect

Potatoes are the absolute star of the alkaline diet. Nothing deacidifies better.
Vegetables support the alkaline balance.
Fruit has an alkalizing effect if it is eaten when fully ripe. Caution: Canned fruit is not an alternative.
Soy products have an alkalizing effect and replace classic dairy products.
Cereal products such as dark bread rolls or wholesome muesli gently stimulate the metabolism.
Pasta and rice are allowed. The body likes the whole grain variety best.
The metabolism needs water for all processes and therefore actively helps with deacidification. Cheers then!
Virgin oils such as linseed or rapeseed oil are healthy. Incidentally, butter and cream have a neutral effect and are allowed in moderation.

These foods form acid

Meat and sausage are the main cause of an over-acidified organism.
Fish is only allowed in moderation.
Cheese and dairy products lead to acidosis in the long term.
Eggs should only be eaten occasionally.
Alcohol places a double burden on the body. It takes time for the toxin to be broken down and acid remains, which is also a burden.
Sweet drinks such as soft drinks and juices quickly lead to obesity.
Sugar and light-colored baked goods, cakes and sweets form acid.
Fast food, fried foods and ready meals are absolute poison for your metabolism

The alkaline broth against small hunger pangs

No potato chips and similar sins are allowed on the alkaline diet - cravings may well occur. Prepare yourself for this and buy granulated broth from the health food store. It has an alkalizing effect, stops you craving salty foods and fills your stomach immediately. This will easily keep you going until your next meal.
Per portion: Chop or grate 1/2 carrot very finely. Place in a saucepan with 1 teaspoon of granulated stock. Pour in 250 ml boiling water and cook briefly. Refine with freshly chopped parsley.
