Yoga at home: it couldn't be easier

1. find a nice place

Your personal yoga hot spot doesn't have to be big, but it should be dedicated solely to your yoga. A quiet, bright and well-ventilated room is ideal. Of course, even a small corner (at least 2.5 by 3.5 meters) is good if it is shielded from the rest of the home with a curtain or decorative screen.

2. plan your yoga sessions into your day

Practice regularly! This has the greatest effect. So think carefully about when you have the best time for yoga. When are you really undisturbed? Because the world is still quiet in the morning and the body and mind are still free from the trials and tribulations of everyday life, yoga teachers recommend the morning. But your lunch break or the evening can also be the right time for you. Once you have found a good time, enter your yoga dates in the calendar - and stick to them.

3. develop a little yoga ritual

Habits come easily to us - brushing our teeth every day, opening the curtains in the morning, etc. In the same way, going to the yoga mat every day should become a habit. To make this happen, think about a ritual that you enjoy. Then stick to the routine until going to your yoga corner has become a habit.

4. think about what you want to do

The great thing about yoga at home is that you can do all the exercises you need that day, so you can fully adapt to your current needs. In the beginning, you will certainly stumble through your yoga practice a little disoriented. So if the yoga muse doesn't always kiss you , it's helpful to have a standing wheel program up your sleeve: Sun salutations, a twist, a forward bend, a backbend and then shavasana perhaps? 5. have fun!

However, if going to the mat becomes a strenuous compulsory event, remember that you are doing yoga for yourself and always keep a specific goal in mind. Don't forget: with home yoga, you are the boss! So enjoy the time that belongs to you alone.
