Wine slushies: 7 recipes for the icy-trendy wine drink

Summer doesn't really want to get going this year - we don't care! We just think we'll go on vacation, because we love the sun and bathing is the best time of the year for us! And what shouldn't be missing from all this? Wine, of course! Most of you have probably thought of a refreshing ice cream and you're not far wrong. Because this summer's trend drink combines wine with ice cream and has the delicious name: Wine Slushies. Whether as a rosé wine slushie or with white wine - the semi-frozen drinks not only look enchanting, they are also really tasty!

What makes this cool summer drink, which goes by the unusual name of wine slushies, so special? The basic ingredients of the ice cocktail are always wine and crushed ice or frozen ingredients. Depending on the recipe, this base is refined with fruit, juices or ice cream. The result is not only a feast for the palate, but also for the eyes: Poured into beautiful glasses and decorated with a straw, fruit or umbrella, the iced wine drink becomes an absolute eye-catcher in no time at all! Ingredients:
500 g watermelon, diced
Juice of 2 lemons
2 tbsp cane sugar
750 ml chilled sweet wine (e.g. Moscato)
mint leaves

  1. Place the watermelon cubes in a sealable container or freezer bag and place in the freezer for 2 hours.
  2. Then remove the watermelon cubes from the freezer and place them in a blender with the lemon juice, 2 tbsp cane sugar and 500 ml sweet wine. Puree everything until smooth. Pour the mixture back into a container and place in the freezer until the mixture has a sorbet-like consistency. (Duration approx. 2 hours)
  3. Pour the frozen mixture into large glasses and divide the remaining 250 ml of wine evenly between the glasses. Finally, decorate the glasses with mint and serve immediately.

Ingredients:
250 g vineyard peaches
400 ml Prosecco (well chilled)
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp sugar syrup to taste

  1. Peel and pit as many ripe vineyard peaches as possible. Then finely puree the flesh in a blender. Season the puree to taste and sweeten with a little sugar syrup, depending on how ripe the peaches are. Place the mixture in the freezer for approx. 2 hours.
  2. Remove the mixture from the freezer and divide between two glasses. Then pour in the Prosecco, stir and enjoy immediately.

Ingredients:
250 g fresh strawberries
350 ml Chardonnay (well chilled)
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp sugar
2 cups of crushed ice

  1. Cut the fresh strawberries into quarters and place in the freezer for approx. 3 hours.
  2. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Alternatively, puree in a tall blender jug using a hand blender.
  3. Then pour the mixture into two large glasses and enjoy immediately.

Ingredients:
750 ml rosé wine (e.g. White Zinfandel)
1 - 2 tsp rose water (depending on taste)
Juice of one squeezed lemon

  1. Mix all ingredients and pour into ice cube molds. Leave them in the freezer overnight.
  2. Remove shortly before serving, place in a blender and blend until a snow-like consistency is achieved.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly between 6 dessert glasses and serve immediately.

Ingredients:
300 g blackberries
300 ml Cabernet Sauvignon
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
3 tbsp powdered sugar

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until creamy.
  2. Place the mixture in the freezer for approx. 2 hours.
  3. Remove the mixture from the freezer and divide between two glasses. If desired, pour in a little wine and stir in.

Ingredients:
250 g fresh peaches
250 ml Riesling or Pinot Grigio
2 passion fruit (alternatively: passion fruit)
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp orange juice
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 cup of crushed ice

  1. Roughly dice the peaches and place in the freezer for approx. 2 hours.
  2. Cut the 2 passion fruit in half, scoop out the flesh and place in a small bowl.
  3. Place the frozen peaches, passion fruit pulp, 250 ml white wine and ice in a blender. Add 1 tbsp each of orange juice, fresh lemon juice and honey and blend until smooth.
  4. Divide the mixture between two large glasses and enjoy immediately.

140 g blueberries
250 ml Sauvignon Blanc (well chilled)
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
2 tbsp honey
8 ice cubes

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until creamy.
  2. Pour into two large glasses and serve immediately.
