Quick pizza dough: basic recipe with yeast

Hmm, what a treat: pizza dough is very easy to make yourself.

Pizza from the freezer may be quick to prepare, but there's nothing like homemade pizza. The Italian classic is also very easy to make yourself and you don't even need many ingredients. The crispy base can be made from a simple yeast dough.

Ingredients for a quick pizza dough

Ingredients for 4 bases (ø 20 cm):

  • 1 cube of yeast (crumbled)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 300 ml lukewarm milk or water
  • 500 g flour (type 405) or ital. pizza flour
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation

1. dissolve the yeast and sugar in milk or water. Leave to soak for 15 minutes. Knead in the flour, oil and salt. Cover and leave to rise for 45 minutes.

2. knead the yeast dough again vigorously but briefly as soon as it has doubled in volume. Divide into 4 portions and roll out.

3. fill the edges with a little mozzarella if necessary and fold over. Top the base as desired. Bake the pizza at 250°C for about 8-10 minutes.
