Avocado has been the absolute trend in food for some time now. However, Mexicans have known about the special nature of this fruit for much longer, as the nutritious green treat is an integral part of Mexican cuisine. In its creamy form, avocado is eaten here as a dip with meat, taquitos or tortilla chips. For today's "National Tortilla Chip Day", we are showing you the tastiest guacamole recipe, because we believe that this delicious dip is a must with tortilla chips.
Guacamole - the ingredients
2 ripe acovados
2 diced tomatoes
1/2 lemon, squeezed
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
salt and pepper
This is how it works
The first step is to cut the two avocados in half with a knife and remove the pit. The flesh can be easily removed with a spoon when the avocados are nice and ripe. Use a fork to mash the soft flesh into a creamy puree. Add the diced tomatoes, lemon juice and garlic and stir everything together. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Guacamole with a twist
If you like it a little spicier, you can add some fire to the basic guacamole with finely chopped chillies.
