Get up better - thanks to light
Leave your curtains or blinds open a crack to let in some light. Light is a natural alarm clock, so to speak, because it inhibits the production of the sleep hormone melatonin in our body. The brighter it gets, the more awake and energetic we become. If you still prefer to sleep with the curtains closed at night, you should at least open the curtains as soon as you wake up. Incidentally, daylight alarm clocks help you get up in winter. These mimic a natural sunrise and bathe the bedroom in bright light at the desired time.
Do without "snoozing"
Constantly pressing the snooze button and the associated going back to sleep and waking up again confuses the body. The US sleep researcher Robert Rosenberg notes that the constant snoozing upsets the so-called circadian rhythm. According to Rosenberg, the brain then no longer knows whether it should be tired or awake. This leads to tiredness or fatigue throughout the day. It can also reduce our general performance. It's better to set your alarm clock to the final time you want to get up and then get up straight away. The next tip is sure to help.
Set the alarm clock far away from the bed
A very simple but effective trick for getting out of bed quickly in the morning: Set your alarm clock as far away from your bed as possible. This way you have to get up to turn off the annoying beeping. Once you've got up, the worst is over!
Schedule enough time in the morning and maintain rituals
If you don't plan enough time in the morning, you are exposing yourself to unnecessary stress. Therefore, always plan enough time and a small buffer. Enjoy your few minutes of peace and quiet and cultivate small rituals. For example, have a coffee in peace and quiet while watching a bit of TV. We humans are known to be creatures of habit and fixed rituals and routines help us to wake up.
Turn up your favorite music and off you go
If we turn on our favorite music as soon as we get up and get ready for the day, we automatically get in a good mood.
