You should drink at least 3 cups of coffee a day for your health.

Whether the brew that used to flow out of many a coffee filter was particularly digestible and whether this coffee is healthy is open to question. Stomach ache, acid reflux, heart palpitations - many people can still remember these symptoms as a result of drinking filter coffee. One of the reasons for this was that the quality of the beans was often not so good and the slow filtering process meant that a lot of bitter substances that irritate the stomach ended up in the coffee.

Today's preparation methods are completely different

Today's coffee culture is predominantly Italian: espresso and cappuccino dominate. They contain fewer bitter substances and are easier to digest. And they contain around 1000 different substances, of which no one knows exactly how they work in detail. But it is undisputed that they do... A number of studies have clearly shown that coffee has a healthy effect on the body. It prevents diabetes and cardiovascular disease, protects against prostate and liver cancer, and even skin cancer occurs less frequently in coffee drinkers. And last but not least, gallstones are less likely to form if you drink at least three cups of coffee a day. This is the recommended minimum amount.

Effective even without caffeine

Studies have shown: Decaffeinated coffee also has a certain protective effect, although it is not as pronounced as with caffeinated coffee. Caffeine is therefore involved in the preventive effects. Which other substances have an effect on the individual organs is still completely unknown.
