The slow carb diet: the new miracle weapon against extra pounds

The slow carb diet is the new miracle weapon in the fight against love handles and extra pounds. Slow carbs are indigestible fibres from plant-based foods, better known as dietary fibres. For a long time, they were wrongly regarded as nutrient-free and therefore useless fillers. They have now been rehabilitated and are regarded as effective figure shapers.

The secret of the slow carb diet

Although fiber actually contains no nutritional value, it also contains virtually no calories and fats. Suitable foods for a slow carb diet include whole grain cereals, pulses, nuts, seeds, fruit and vegetables. A daily intake of 30 to 40 grams is recommended.

How slow carbs work

Slow carbs are either soluble or insoluble. Soluble ones (e.g. from peas, beans, lentils, rye and oats) bind liquid, swell up enormously in the stomach and thus ensure a long-lasting feeling of satiety. But only if you drink plenty of fluids, preferably mineral water and unsweetened herbal or fruit tea. Non-soluble slow carbs (such as the pectin in apples or the inulin in Jerusalem artichokes) support digestion, ensure a balanced insulin level, promote fat burning and don't give cravings the slightest chance. As a side job, they bind toxins in the gut and reduce the risk of diabetes and cancer.

Slow carb diet nutrition plan

With a high-fiber diet plan, the body fat percentage drops by itself. This is particularly noticeable on the stomach. Simply enjoy a slow carb meal in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening, avoid snacks, drink at least 2 liters a day and after a short time you can celebrate real success with your figure. Sport and exercise naturally support this, but it also works without them.
