Delicious cake - it has to come out of the tin in one piece to look this good.

It's a real disaster when you have a coffee party and one half of the cupcake sticks to the tin while the other crumbles on the worktop. Or the cake won't come out at all? There are a few tricks on how to prepare the tin properly before baking and what you can do afterwards if the cake won't come out.

Removing cakes from bundt cake tins: 5 tips for success

1. grease the bundt cake tin properly

It is very important to grease the cake tin thoroughly before pouring in the batter. The tin should not be swimming in fat, but it is important to ensure that you work carefully. The best way to grease the tin is with a brush, as you can easily get into the grooves. Soft butter, margarine or oil are suitable greases. Don't forget the middle section, i.e. the part where the hole will later be!

2. dust the tin with flour or breadcrumbs

You can't rely on fat alone - so that the Bundt cake can be easily removed from the tin later, you should dust the tin with flour or breadcrumbs. To do this, pour some into the tin and turn and swirl it until the entire tin, including the middle, is coated. Then simply tip out the remaining flour.

3. do not turn the cake out immediately after baking

Can't wait to try the cake? That's understandable! But it's best to leave it to cool completely in the tin, for at least 15 to 30 minutes. When the cake is cold, it is not only easier to turn out. There is also less risk of it breaking apart. Tip: Tap the bottom of the tin when turning it out, then it will usually slide out of the tin without any problems.

4. help: loosen from the edge with wooden sticks

Is the cake cold and still won't come out of the tin? Then use wooden sticks or a spatula to carefully loosen it from the edge. Sometimes it also sticks to the middle piece, so loosen it there too. If the cake still won't turn out, we have another trick for you below. Tip: Do not use a knife to loosen the cake, as you will scratch the tin.

5. loosen with a water bath

It will hardly be necessary - but if the cake stays in the mold, put it in a water bath for a few minutes. At the latest then it should give up its resistance and slide onto the cake plate in one piece. Enjoy your meal!
