Summer fit: the best tips against cellulite

Dent-free and smooth, that's how we want our legs. Does the reality look a little different? Our tips against cellulite will bring you closer to your dream.

Temperatures are rising, outfits are getting scarcer. Now we want a presentable body. If only it weren't for that annoying cellulite. Over 80 percent of all women suffer from this unsightly weakness of the connective tissue, where fat pads accumulate under the surface of the skin - where they like to make their permanent home. Orange peel skin will probably never disappear completely, and we don't have a miracle cure either, but with the right tips against cellulite you can still achieve a lot. Here is our four-point plan:

Don't avoid it: Sport and exercise really do make a difference

Sport is one of the best ways to combat cellulite. In addition to the obligatory "abs, legs and bottom" class at the gym (a very effective anti-cellulite workout!), you can also simply integrate a bit of exercise into your everyday life: Take the stairs instead of the elevator, preferably two steps at a time - this strengthens the legs and shapes the calves in particular. Leave the car at home more often and cycle to work, or always get off the bus one stop earlier and walk home.

Home work: From massage to cold showers to a care program

Regular kneading of problem areas stimulates microcirculation and loosens clumps. Alternating showers (always end cold!) can support this process. After the massage, creams with ingredients such as caffeine promote fat loss. The only important thing is to use them regularly.

"Retouching" with self-tanners and products with sexy glitter particles

The "tan from the tube" is a real miracle weapon for beautiful legs, as it conjures up a more even complexion, conceals small veins and stretch marks, which unfortunately all too often occur in combination with cellulite, cheats away dents and makes them look slimmer overall. Important: exfoliate your legs beforehand and ensure even application, especially around the knees and feet. If you want to go one better, use a lotion with a shimmering effect.

The right diet for cellulite

A healthy and good appearance starts with a balanced diet. Some foods over-acidify the tissue. It is therefore essential to avoid or severely limit the consumption of certain products in the fight against cellulite. These include fatty foods, white flour, caffeinated drinks and sweets - all of which promote the development of cellulite. Alcohol should also be avoided. Alkaline foods such as cooked vegetables, rice, fish, salad, nuts and wholegrain products are ideal. And always drink plenty of water or green tea.
