Bigger, faster, more successful - our modern lifestyle demands a lot from our bodies. No wonder the heart sometimes can't keep up. Heart attacks are one of the most common causes of death, even though we can do a lot to strengthen our hearts as a preventative measure. However, a healthy diet requires time - and we don't have it. What we eat today must therefore be described as food rather than nutrition. Frozen products, convenience food and the like may fill us up, but unfortunately they often also make us ill.

Nevertheless, they still exist - foods that are not only healthy, but also make us healthy. Because they provide us with sufficient nutrients and vital substances and strengthen our heart.

The following four foods actively contribute to strengthening the heart:

Fish contains omega-3 fatty acids, which lower cholesterol levels and prevent cardiac arrhythmia.

Nuts contain unsaturated fatty acids and arginine. The latter is needed to produce nitric oxide. This dilates the blood vessels and promotes blood circulation.

Apples areconsidered a real superfood because the flavonoids in the skin keep the blood vessels supple. Pectin lowers cholesterol levels.

Bananas have a high potassium content. It lowers blood pressure and stabilizes blood circulation. Cardiovascular diseases are therefore prevented. One banana covers around 19% of our daily requirement of potassium.
