
Delicious snacks and sweets without preservatives and additives are hard to find in most supermarkets. But the answer to healthy vegetable potato chips is quite simply fruit leather or roll-ups. Unlike the sweet sins of our childhood, this delicious fruit snake is free from preservatives and added sugar, as it is made from fruit pulp alone. Sure, it contains natural fruit sugar, but it is still much healthier than the artificial gummies from the supermarket or kiosk.
Mango roll-ups: fruit becomes fruit leather
To make roll-ups from the vitamin-rich tropical fruit, first peel it and puree the flesh into a fine pulp. Spread the mixture about 4 millimetres thin on a baking tray lined with baking paper or a silicone mat.
How to dehydrate mango
The mango puree is then dried. If you don't have a dehydrator at home, you can also put the baking tray in the oven and dry the puree at 60°C circulating air for around 4-6 hours. The fruit leather can then be easily removed from the tray and cut into strips with a knife or clean kitchen scissors. Roll up and your healthy snack is ready!
